Epilepsy

Many patients with epilepsy can control their seizures with medication. When the seizures cannot be appropriately managed, surgery is often necessary to remove the abnormal brain tissue that causes seizure activity.

Epilepsy is an irregular, sudden, intense electrical discharge causing seizures that affect muscle control, movement, speech, vision, and awareness.
