Aneurysm
Aneurysm
Aneurysm is an abnormal, bulging area on the wall of the brain artery resulting in a weak, thin wall that can burst and cause bleeding into tissues of the brain.
Common Symptoms:
Unruptured brain aneurysm:
Dilated pupils
Double vision
Localized headaches
Ruptured brain aneurysm warning signs:
Localized headaches
Nausea & vomiting
Blurred or double vision
Sensitivity to light
Loss of sensation
Loss of consciousness
Unruptured aneurysms may or may not have symptoms. Several deciding factors are taken into consideration before determining the course of treatment such as: the risk that the aneurysm will rupture, size and location of the aneurysm, and health of the patient, and the family history.
